This is a new feature currently in development for members to create an inventory of spares for sale, wanted or swap.
The service isn't restricted to "going spare" given-away-for-free spares, you can list spares for sale. We encourage you to list EVERYTHING you've got
tucked away at the back of the garage, shed or up in the loft that is surplus to requirements and that you think could be of use to other members.
You can list as much as you like, ideally one entry per item - just like you would on eBay - although I hasten to add this is NOT an auction service.
Unlike eBay, this service is totally FREE to members, the only restriction is cars for sale are not allowed - they should continue to be listed in the
classifieds section.
(I'll let the more pedantic members amongst us argue the difference between a car being sold as a car and a car being sold for spares - I don't make the
rules - I'm just trying to implement them...)
So members can see what they're buying, each entry can include a photograph.
Come the print deadline of the next Courier magazine you can designate a SINGLE ENTRY OF 25 WORDS OR LESS to appear in the next Courier magazine - and it
won't cost you a penny. (NOTE : photographs will only appear online and not in the Courier)
While this feature is still in development you can start populating your spares inventory at -
http://www.tssc.org.uk/spares
You'll find that link over on the right under "MY TSSC" called "My Spares".
Right now you can only view spares by member, but we will add a listing of everyone's spares very shortly.
Comments welcome.
