    It used to get some use at one time but tended to be rather slow at times. Biggest problem is probably finding a time when other people are around at the same time as you.

        Neil, I have a MkIV/1500 seat frame that I replaced when building my seats as it was very slightly wonky due to having been welded sometime in the dim and distant past. It is structurally sound and I only discovered that it wasn't straight when I was recovering my seats with new leather seat covers and foams too. I don't know whether it is of any use to you but it would certainly be OK for MOT purposes as the car had been through at least 2 MOTs with the seat as it was before I changed it earlier this year. You will need to use your covers and foams if serviceable but it would get you a cheap fix. Free of charge naturally as I have no use for it.
