Just thought I would check back on hubblesite.org for any new images.

Saw this one. Don't know if it is new but it is breathtaking and now fills my desktop.

The Eagle Nebula is still my favourite.

Makes me feel very small.....

Very variable in 'magnificence', but usually interesting.

In that field, the site that I enjoy most though is the Mars Rover site: http://marsrovers.jpl.nasa.gov/home/
Ye, gods! Those little gadgets are still operating ten times longer than they were originally 'guaranteed' for!

I still use that erie 'Earthrise' pic from Apollo 8 as my desktop - all of human life is there!

  That's exactly what I mean, you could travel through countless solar systems and not encounter comedy like that.
  
  I'm pleased that the desision was made to extend the working life of Hubble. Money well spent for once.
