Does anyone know if there is an unusually large Triumph popluation in Brittany?
I was over there last week driving my boring Renault from Dinard to St Brieuc (Dahouet) and passed three Triumphs in transit, then sat down at a restraunt
with a TR4 parked outside - all French plates and more Triumphs than I would spot in a couple of months in Oxfordhsire.
Alos does anyone know of how I could contact any French Triumph owners/clubs, as I would love to holiday in Brittany in my Herald, but being still on the
mechanically inept side would welcome contact with a local population whop might be able to point me in the right direcvtion for help should disaster
strike?

Owen
Have you checked your roadbook that gets issued every year. There may well be a contact in Brittany listed in there ... in which case you might benefit
from having a chat with him.

Thanks for that Graham.
However, I'm not sure what the roadbook is - I'm pretty sure I have received one - are they available from the club?
Thanks again though.

Hi Owen
Graham's right, although I think its called the Handbook...or is it. Anyway, in it you will see continental contacts that might be able to help
in the event of a breakdown (Graham didn't use it when he broke down on the 10CR??). Check the bumph that was sent to you from the TSSC.
Just make sure you have continental breakdown cover (Footman James is good). The other thing is don't worry about breaking down abroad - all
part of life's rich pageant.

Thanks for that Don,
One other thing which would be useful if anyone has such a thing is a checklist of bits and bobs it would be useful to have as a sort of
car first aid kit (eg spare points etc.)

It's worth knowing that if you break down on a French motorway you have to call the police and they will arrange towing ... which I
think really adds to the cultural experience.
