Well, I did a "top down" run around the warwickshire countryside today. All went well until about half a mile from home then the heavens opened up on me!!
Manged to make it home with only half a puddle in me "nether regions"
but I bet the old bill following behind me were
having a chuckle!!

If the water was getting in, you weren't driving fast enough
I did get out in the car yesterday after spending all Sunday working on it but I still have the hardtop in place Was still fun though. First time out in the lanes since I replaced all the suspension. What a difference that makes to the
car!
...and yes, I will take the hardtop off before long. Can't lift the thing on my own though!-

Mik,
3 excuses in my defence -
1 wind speed and rain direction was at right angles to the road I was travelling on
2 I couldn't lean across and wind the passenger side window up to minimise the flippin stuff
3 I couldn't drive any faster (was doing the speed limit as it was!) as ol' "knick-knack" was right behind me, most probably having a bloody good laugh!

You should have been on the Isle of Wight on the weekend - Saturday was glorious, hood down all day, Sunday was even better, I got sunburnt! Monday it rained as I took my tent down to go home but all in all a great weekend!-

I was in the Yorkshire Dales again this weekend,
and I've got sunburn on the tops of me arms !
It was lovely hood down motoring...
Saw a guy in a supermarket car park.. complimented me on my car and told me of his TR4...
then I saw him going in the opposite direction the next day...
LOADS and LOADS of flipping MG's in Yorkshire though...
One TR3 - but he refused to acknowledge a lowly spitfire !

Spring has gone from Norfolk too. Was watching the racing (horse) on channel 4 and it was bright sunshine. Looking out of my window over Fakenham
racecourse (that's a horse one too just incase any willabe, wanabe, and proper TSSC/TR racers have other ideas) and it was chucking it down.

Oh no what a shame ... I'm in LA at the moment (well get me!) and it's been 100 degrees here today - scorching - I'm doing the lobster impression right now.
So far I've seen a TR6 (albeit the worst roadgoing one i've ever seen) a fairly ropey looking 1500 spit (with its hood up!), a tasty metallic blue mk2 spit which shot past us on the freeway doing at least 80mph, and a garage with TR250, TR6, TR8 and a TR3.
I've also seen 3 E-types and a couple of Healey Sprites either for sale or on the road. Also saw an MGA and a midget.
I've been travelling around in a 1750 Alfa GTV - sweet car. A guy came up to us at a 'Gas' station to ask about it and revealed that he had a TR6 and a 2000 - I didn't expect to see big sixes here.
People really like their cars here, even though it's stop-start traffic everywhere. Endless Porsches (yawn)
