All,
The many IT gurus here have helped me mightily in the past - please will you do so now!
I have an obvious spam message in MS Outlook Express.
It is 'from' Vikie Daly' and is titled 'be milk'. There is no enclosure.
I right clicked on it, and then on 'This is Spam', to have Norton deal with it. The arrow cursor changes to the hourglass, the CPU usage in task Manager
goes to 100% and OE is shown as 'Not Running'. It will not respond to the usual clicks to open or close programs, but Task Manager can eventually End
Program.
How can I remove this cuckoo in the nest, and how can I tell if any malware has arrived?
I've run AdAware and SpyBot, and have Spyware Blaster running in the background, as well as Norton Internet Security.
Thanks!
John

John
Exit Outlook Express, disconnect from the internet by unplugging your BT Home Hub.
Then start Outlook Express, highlight the email by clicking on it once and press the delete key.
See if that works
