Not AoL,
But just downloaded a new version of IE from MS.
This one doesn't show the 'Favourites' column all the time - it's a drop down that disappears as soon as you have used it.
Grrrrrrrrr.
Trying to get used to it.
John
PS Kevin showed me that access to either of the servers for this board or the TTN takes MILLIseconds
(Ours is in NORWAY!!!)
Access to the TTN one takes 100mS longer for us, as it is five times further away, but hey, what's 0.1 of a second?.
There still was a problem. as Criag showed and has now fixed, I think - thanks Craig.
I get intermittent problems, Jon, and I'm on BT, whwich most seem to consider the Spawn of the Devil.
My current problem is that the connection drops off, for no apparent reason, sometimes when I'm surfing, and others I can come back after hours and
still find the connection intact. It's all black magic.

I'm with Virgin.net at the moment, and it has not been 100% for the last few days - some complete sections of the internet have been
unavailable, and others working as normal - probably a problem with their routers.
I'm in the process of moving, so I need to decide if I'll stay with Virgin in the long term. In the short term, I'm house sitting my parents
place whilst they are away in France for the Winter, so I'll be trying out their BT broadband for reliability.
I've just upgraded to MSIE 7, and it is an acquired taste. I've turned off the tabbed browsing, I prefer many windows scattered across the
desktop - as I rarely view full screen. The zoom function is usefull when someone posts a giant picture on the TSSC or CT boards. The font
smoothing takes a bit of getting used to. I really dont like the address bar at the top, and the refresh and stop buttons not being next to the
forward and back page buttons is driving me mad.
John, if you click "view", "Explorer bar" and then "Favorites", then the favorites column is always there.

Kevin,
Thanks for that advice.
Took me ages to find the "explorer bar" again, but I have it now.
