  i turned my t v over just at the end of a program called wind up t v last night when i thought i saw a herald convertable being crushed by a skip is this the reason they wanted the car does anyone know who's car it was

    i was just a stunt, on a car that was a scrapper, to fool the owner of a similar car to think it was his good condition one.

      This kind of thing happens way too regularly to our cars...
      
      I recall seeing a Vitesse on Candid Camera/Beadle's About being filled with Concrete from a mixer some years back.
      
      It's not like there is an endless supply of our Triumphs anymore, they stopped making Heralds/Vitesses in 1971 remember?
      
      It just seems like such a waste of potentially useful spare parts to me...
      
      Each time a 'car' is lost like that, our supply of needed spares is diminished, just another nail in the coffin.
      
      It also encourages the viewing public to treat our cars as disposable items, which is completely against the ethos of the TSSC.
      
      Shame on those responsible.
