In a months time I will be filling my Herald with everything I own and setting out across the country to Durham,
from Somerset, to go to uni.
When I get there I will have nowhere to put the car.
I don't want to sell it as I will by then, with a bit of luck, have just finnished a full rebuild, and anyway I will need it for getting home when I run
out of money.
Does anyone know anywhere where I could keep it?

You could always try the housing dept at the local council. Some garage sites are a bit grim though.
