Camping on way back from Le Mans

I'm planning on camping (or hotel) somewhere on the road back to Cherbourg from Le Mans on the Sunday night - to hopefully get a bit of sleep before the long trip home.

Any recommendations folks??

Hi James,

I don't recall any decent campsites on the way to Cherbourg, however there are quite a 'Aires du service' near villages which have now been bypassed by a new road.

Failing that buy 'Logis du France', these are small (max 12 rooms) family run B&B's. Exceptional value.

That route passes through Montbourg, In the square on the left a superb Logis and restaurant, cant remember the name though.
