Hi! I just managed to break my beloved wing (bullet AND stainless-steel) mirror off of my Herald, and I need one to replace it. And I began to wonder...
These mirrors are actually useless and I never use them, and every time I see Heralds in magazines they NEVER have mirrors. I tried to find out the
legality on mirrors, on classic cars, but failed. Could anyone kindly educate this new owner of a classic car? My Herald is 13/60 from 1968. Than you very
much for your timexx

Cars used before 78 must have one mirror, in most of our cases, the interior mirror, though this could also be either of the door/wing mirrors.
Those first used after 78 must have two mirrors, one of which must be on the right hand side, the other can be on the left hand side, or an interior
mirror.
For the MOT, only the required mirror(s) are tested, so there's no problem with having a mirror on the left hand side (provided it's not your one
obligitory mirror) that you can't see from the driver's seat or doesn't have a full view.
