I was hoping you could fill in a couple of gaps for me. This weekend I was approached by a guy who wanted to hire my trailer for a day. Now I don't
normally do this and was wondering what the legal implications were.
Of course money is going to change hands and I know the trailer is in good (legal) condition. My biggest question is what kind of liability am I letting
myself in for. I'm going to ask the guy for a deposit and show him how to use it safely - am I also responsible for his legality in towing/using it? (eg
weigh restrictions etc etc).
I'm going to ask the guy to sign that he recieved it in good order and was fully trained to use it safely.
Is there anything I missed?
