Speeding limits.

I am a Telegraph Reader, I know I shouldn't really admit it but......

There have been 2 articles in the past 2 weeks that I beleive should cause all of us Triumph owners concern.

<snip>
My mother's friend has just been sent a fixed penalty notice after a speed camera caught her doing 32mph in a 30 zone.
<snip>

The second states that 1 mph over the speed limit is now to be considered a statutory offience (I think it said, I can't find it on the Website), the implication being that there is now no 'leeway' in the measurement.

Does this now mean that we "older car owners" are no-longer allowed our +/- 10% speedo reading, only being allowed a +10%.

Should somone have told us, or are we going to be told 1 by 1 by way of fixed penalty notices???

Are the Telegraph printing rubbish and has the poor woman mentioned has been stiffed by an overzealous policeman?

Colin
