Please please please - and I'm trying not to be a killjoy - can we have responsible dog owners at Stafford this year? Having proper control of your dog
does not mean letting it roam loose while you watch it try to eat my BBQ supplies, then call it back once the dirty deed has been done. It does not mean
having it anywhere in a 50 yard radius with yourself as the centre point. Its' headlong pursuit of a ball / frisbee / bone should not be at full pelt
through someone's tent and belongings. They do NOT - and I'm sure of this - intend to buy anything in Bingley Hall or the autojumble, so there's no need to
tangle everyone's legs up at the stalls with a bored dog on a string - and if I want to see something pissing on a Triumph, I'll go to an MG Owners meet.
Please be responsible this year - if you must bring it, keep it under control.

Hi Colin
Thanks for you comments,
Most dog owners at the event do respect that other members may not be dog lovers and don't want their dog anywhere near their belongings,
I suspect it's the minority, rather than the majority
The event conditions of admission state the following :-
"Dogs must be kept on leads at all times. Dogs left in vehicles must be given adequate fresh air and refreshment so as to maintain their good health
".
"Any person not keeping a dog within these conditions is liable to expulsion from the Event and prosecution".
In addition, the team do keep a general eye out for stray dogs and dogs locked in cars during warm days and have warned owners to be more respectful to
both their pet and other members.
