Hi I'm flying a kite to see if there is any interest in Heralds & Triumphs going to Africa in 2008 - 50 years after the famous proving run. Obviously
due to political tensions we could not follow the same route. At present howevever we could ship Heralds to Cape Town, drive up the West coast and enter
Namibia and cross via the Caprivi strip into Zambia and up through Tanzania to finish in Kenya shipping out of Mombasa. This route would incoperate some of
the most spectacular scenery Africa has to offer ranging from deserts to the famous game reserves. It would take about 3 weeks to complete and a
guesstimate at cost including shipping, hotels etc would be £10,000 per car/crew of two.
I will be writing a series in the courier about the original proving run and will 'fly the kite' during the series.
Regards,
Matt

I would love to do something like this in my 1967 GT6. Unfortunately I can't afford it - would some kind of sponsorship be available?
Could combine it with some kind of charity run?
