Hi Ben,
I went the other route of getting a towbar made up from scratch, meeting much shock, horror and disbelief! All who spotted problems with my first attempt were only concerned for my safety though, which is nice to know
Its now Uber strong and braces the back of the
car, ready for any rear end shunt!
But anyway, yours, I'm not too familiar with the witter design, but I do know of the holes in the outriggers, they should be there from the factory...but has yours had new outriggers at some point? Mine had 1 original, and 1 replacement, so I only had 1 hole.
Where is the majority of the load suspended on the car with this towbar? my boot floor is v v v bendy!

i saw your drawings earlier and if you look at your plan, the tow bar goes from ball to diff area of chassis and is monted there and another bar goes straight across it between the boot floor and tow bar from outrigger to outrigger using l shaped brackets to mount to the chassis.-

Nope, but then the exhaust does interfere with the ground clearance! dont know how it would affect a standard exhaust, this probably would. Have you got a pic of yours? Ive never seen one close up.
