Herald clutch - Dolomite engine

My 13/60 has a Dolomite 1300 engine fitted and I need to get a new clutch fitted Any sugegstions where I should get the clutch from and whether the local garage might experience problems fitting it? Also any idea what I should be paying for fitting it would be very useful. Thanks

  Heh, do it yourself... and save about &163;25+ an hour labour! If you dont have time though, anywhere should be able to do it really, its a simple job, the only awkward bit is mating the box back to the engine. As for the clutch itself, are you going for a new clutch plate only, or a new 3 piece set? I got a recon plate from Canleys at about &163;20 I think, with a &194;&163;10 surcharge, new ones are &194;&163;30 straight off. Recon ones are just as good, cheaper, and keep Greenpeace happy!

    are you not going to stoneleigh?your bound to get fixed up there,depends on gearbox you have in as well as to whaT clutch youl need, as ben says not to bad of job

      Many thanks for the advice - I feel a lot more confident now .....at least it doesn't sound like it's going to break the bank! Got to miss Stoneleigh this year unfortunately but my shopping list is growing already for next year!
