I can only refer you to the owner's manual! Shows you in very clear pictures. Every car should have one, and copies are available from the club
shop.
Basically, you release the clips above the windscreen, lift the front of the roof and then get out of the car. You then need to fold the hood back
until there is enough "slack" in the rear window area to start folding it into the hood well. You need to ensure that both rear and side windows fold
evenly in one smooth curve, pressing the middle of the window with one hand while guiding the hood frame down with your other.
It is possible to scratch the window with the chrome trim strip above the rear window if you are too careless, or the securing screws have been left
proud, but once that has been folded down into the hoodwell, you can push the rest of the hood back down in one go.
One other thing that can be overlooked; make sure that there is nothing in the bottom of the hoodwell before you start folding the hood, otherwise the
hood may not be able to fold all the way down.
Once the hood is fully retracted into the hoodwell, make sure the securing clamps do not chafe the back of the rear seat, and apply tonneau cover of
hoodwell cover as required.
