Hi
just looked at a 1965 12/50 with view to buy , but the speedo was reading 70 when we were doing about 45mph. As I am new to this a and have only just
joined TSSOC , can any one tell me if it is the speedo at fault or the cable or....
The guy selling the car said that I could get it fixed but the fixing company would want to know whow many turns the cable did with regards to how many
turns of the rear wheels and the circumference of the wheels / tyres etc. Is this all neccesary?
Does any one know of a suitable speedo fixing company?
Thanks
Steve

Why not just buy a second-hand unit? Try looking on the web, eg, ebay, Rarebits for Classics, Quiller Triumph, and Spitfire Graveyard (who also break
Heralds)

The great thing is that when you are doing 45, it feels like 70. Having done 70 in a Herald on the M6 last month, I'd rather stick to 45. So why
not just pretend you're doing 70? Incidentally if you can't get a speedo on eBay, I've a few second hand and one brand new item.

Thanks
Please can you let me know or e-mail me with prices and how to buy? I'm picking the car up next week and don't want to be pulled over for
speeding!
Thanks again
