Anything and everything Herald. Talk about anything from the first 948s to the last 13/60s.

Here's a question...In the rather smooth, fast and everso well balanced 1500 engine now fitted to my Herald convertible, I fitted the old dizzy from my 13/60. It seems to work well, with sparks in all the right places and everything!
Somewhere I have read that changing to electronic Aldon type ignition might screw up the advance/retard or something?
My brain hurts when talk of balancers and small springs and dwell angles begins, so someone put the truth in simple English for me, please...
Otherwise the car gets it...
or doesn't get an Aldon for Christmas, anyway.
