ITMA = It's That Man Again. A radio comedy show that was very popular, but before my time!
I think someone is asking whether the radio is AM or FM. AM (long wave and medium wave) is a lot more sensitive to interference than FM. Does
your car have an alternator? If so, it might be worth fitting a choke in the supply to the radio to make sure it gets a "clean" electric
supply.
Also worth checking your HT leads. They give out biggest interference if of the wrong type or with insulation deteriorating. If they look past
their best, you could try changing them anyway, as it will work wonders for the starting, reliability, performance and economy of the engine
anyway. (Assuming other ignition bits are in A1 condition of course).
