Cassette Players?

Posted By : Edward Sumner, 17-Apr-2006, 12:24pm

Hi, I am looking for a some music in my car - because open-top driving is not enough.
I don't want to go the whole hog of putting CD's and Mp3 players in, but would like a nice casette player from 1968ish to put in my car.
I am having an alternator fitted tomorrow so that should help, but has anyone else fitted one or heard of it. I don't kow a lot about cars, so any advice would be great.
I placed a request in the spares forum.
...and also how i would fit it.
and i guess i would need a little sound-proofing - what is good for that?
and finally, my car has a radio at the moment (which only picks up Irish Long-Wave - it's good but...) and it has a cardboard surround...which is a bit tatty now...surely there is something more sturdier than that i could have.
thanks,
Ed.
