I am rather dismayed having spent above £300 on 5.5X13j rims to find out that 185x13 is the smallest tyre that will fit (according to tyre
place). I have a suspicion that this is going to foul body work and play hell with trunions etc. Has any one else fitted the club mini lites to a 1200
herald and what tyre size did you use?
Or should I ask for refund?

175/70 is the optimum size on most Triumphs with 5.5x13 wheels, but as mentioned 155 and 165 tyres will fit, with a multitude of sections. Indeed
185 may well be too large for the front wheels on a Herald

I run 185/60/13's without a problem. The wheels are weller 8 spokes, not sure about the width, but I would guess at 5.5J and car is a modified
13/60.
Hope this helps.
