After quite a lot of time with a dodgy dynamo, I finally got fed up and put in an alternator last night.
Nice and cheap alternator (apart from the postage) from Canleys, and they took my dynamo in exchange.
Took a couple of hours, and even modified the old voltage regulator box to hold the changed wiring connections. Slightly longer fan belt needed (about 50mm
longer), and a longer rear mounting bolt but that's about all.
Thanks to the TSSC Devon site for their guidelines.
I feel refreshed and ready to go for summer!
Dave
