Hi,
I've spent quite a lot of time trying to get my body and bonnet aligned correctly but now the doors are causing me problems.
I have read a lot about how the body can sag in the middle but my problem is the opposite to this, at the rear of each door there is a big gap at the top
and very little at the bottom.
Can anyone help?
Andy

Something that may be contributing to this problem. My doors don't fit brilliantly and a factor in it is the large patch on the bottom outside of each
door, folded over the bottom and rear edges and spotwelded then filled over along the leading edge and top of the patch, just under the crease. I
messed around for a long time before I found this nasty bodge, maybe one day I will have the time and cash to do a proper job of it..!

two ways we solved our body fits:-
if door to A post and door to bonnet are ok then just keep packing the rear tub up at the back to get a parrallel gap then
then fit spacers to suit each mount point, even with a rebuilt flat chassis ours took some drastic packing to line things up.
If no gap between door and A post and bonnet runs out of height adjustment on the front pivot links under the over rider then suggest you raise the
rear mounts of the front tub to get a start point as front tub can lean backwards which may be where
your gap taper comes from ;; best to slacken the roof fixings to allow free body movement. some thoughts peter
have a look in tools techniques; general ; body bolts no 183 dec 25/26
