You will have to be more specific, what you starting from? bare metal or undercoated already? how many coats you after? you using two pack or a
combined laquer and pait mix? are you doing just outside areas or striping it and doing everwhere?
may be easy to buy your undercoat spray that on and see how much paint it takes to cover the area your doing then you will have rough idea on how much
of the coulor you will need.

Sorry Danial, I was a bit vague.
My car is totally stripped and I'm changing to colour so the plan is to do everywhere inside and out.
(It will be bear metal eventually!)
How much undercoat do you think to start with?
Thanks
Andy

Bare metal respray of everything?, something of the order of 5 litres each primer, undercoat and topcoat plus at least 15 litres of thinners
plus cleaning solvent

plus an extra litre of primer & top coat if you have the roof to paint as well, and an extra litre or two of top coat FROM THE SAME MIX
to keep in store for any future accident repair.

Thanks Jonathn, that gives me a good starting point.

If using cellulose get it in QUICK, it'll be pretty much illegal from January, probably the 1st. Supposedly you'll be able to get it
after then for a classic, but the price is almost guaranteed to go up and you'll probably have to jump through all kinds of beurocratic
hoops on the way...

Not illegal. Just like leaded fuel it can still be made but only in small amounts at a time. So if you went to buy some and the
bloke behind the counter told you it was illegal (like I was) they're wrong.
I have heard that you'll need a license to be able to buy the stuff and you get one you'll need to prove that you need it. But I
can't say any more than that as I don't know. It may be about to happen or it may just be EU rumblings and come to nothing.

They have been talking about banning it for 10 years. Its abit of a joke in the spray shop.
