Don't ask why....but....
Is it possible to put a Herald 1200 body on a Vitesse/GT6 Chassis?

On a Vitesse chassis yes, it's virtually the same.
GT6 chassis has 8 1/2" shorter wheelbase so you would have to do some chopping. Also, GT6 body has strength in the sills and Herald/Vitesse chassis has
side rails. Put Herald body on GT6 chassis and you will have no stiffness at the sides of the car!
