Having found a source for the correct fabric some time ago, I've been experimenting with stitching and gluing this to a modern replacement door seal. I
think the result is a fairly convincing copy of the original seal, also used on early Spitfires. The fabric's available in several different colours
including the usual charcoal grey, so most of the colour coded seals fitted to the latest Heralds could be reproduced.
So what do you think? Putting this together is quite labour intensive, but probably worth the effort for someone doing a meticulous restoration.
Cheers,
Bill.
