I am looking for a couple of the wooden finishing trims from the top of the front doors for a convertible Herald 13/60, and wondered if anyone had any
ideas as to where I might be able to buy some of these??

Hi
Heralds never had these as standard as far as I know (which isn't much). Would Vitesse ones fit a Herald door?

The Herald and Vitesse door shells are identical.
The only problem you might have are the fixing bolts for the interior handle. Not sure if these bolts are longer on the Vitesse, as they pass
through the wooden capping.

Just out of interest the Herald 13/60 parts catalogue lists them as an accessory with the relevant part number.
Beware, I bought a secondhand pair at Stafford last year only to get them home to find when I removed all the old lacquer that one was veneered
and the other not (the veneer had not been removed thats how it appeared to have been made, obviously cheaper to make).
The dimensions were also different, this was ok as I was going to re-veneer them, I had allready done the dashboard and had purchased enough
veneer for door cappings as well. I have now made them the same size and veneered them and they look as good as new.

Owen,
Come to the TSSC International Weekend at Stafford, and you are sure to find a pair.
Make sure you get a "pair" as the veneers should be very similar, close to a mirror image of each other. The backs of the cappings have a "pairing
number" to be sure.
