The dirty, oily spring in the picture I have just removed from my chassis, the clean grey one is one that I was going to use instead, which came off
another 13/60 chassis I bought on ebay.
On my original spring it has more leaves to it, the arc is greater, and has a plate to take 6 studs to the diff, whereas the other on has 4.
Assuming mine is the correct spring (to my knowledge it's the original), what is the other one from, and which should I use for rebuilding the chassis?
Cheers
Darren

The grey spring is a "swing spring" off a late spit or GT6. Many people fit them to Heralds to improve the handling & eliminate the dreaded tuck
under. If you fit it, fit the thicker Spit front anti-roll bar at the same time. With any luck your spare chassis should have this anti roll bar
fitted.
You'll need to blank off the two spare holes in the top of the diff.

Thanks Charles. OK, I understand now....problem is the chassis didn't come with the rest of the kit.....maybe Canley's will supply the kit minus
the spring!

All you need is a s/h anti-roll bar & some new rubber or poly bushes & probably new drop links. Doesn't look like the kit includes the
drop links. The other bits you already have on your spring.
When you buy the drop links make sure you get a handed pair, apparently there are some dodgy ones out there.
