is this nornal on a 1360 or am i running unmatched calapers
on the off side the flexi hose runs from the bracket on the turret to a bracket attacted to the top ball joint with a solid pipe into the rear of the
caliper
on the near side the flexi runs turret to top of the caliper
the brakes were in balance at the last mot and it does not pull under braking

Certainly on my 1200 both hoses run straight into the caliper. I've never seen anything like what you describe on the offside, it sounds like a bodge
to me though heaven knows what the parts are off! This bracket on the balljoint, where exactly does that attach? If it attaches to one of the bolts
that fixes the balljoint between the wishbones the suspension movement will eventually cause the solid pipe to fracture and of course leave you with no
brakes-probably when you most need them! Mind you fixing it to the vertical link under the taper doesn't sound too clever either. Probably best to
source a replacement caliper-needn't be too dear if you shop around-to match the nearside. Be sure to specify which one you want as they are handed,
get the wrong one and it fits upside down so you can't bleed the brakes-the nipple needs to be at the top.

hi it does fit on the end of the tapered bolt.
i also was thinking it was a bodge but it is a very well made bracket far to good compared to the other repairs on the poor herald.
i can remember seeing this arangment in the past but havant got a clue on what car it was

Put it this way, it's a bodge on a Herald..!
