There may be slight differences, but you should find the block, head, rods, camshaft of a 1300 fwd useable, but the crank IS different;
definitely so at the front end, and maybe so at the rear (completely different flywheel used). Ancillaries such as dynamo, distributor,
carb, water pump, possibly manifolds (inlet will be OK, exhaust maybe), rockers and maybe even starter motor may be useable. Sump, engine
front and rear plates, flywheel, clutch and mountings will be of no use!

Thanks Chris and Kevin for your feed-back!
I have a crack i my Herald block (GE-engine) and the cooling water flows down to the sump and mix with the oil. I live on the Aland
Islands between Finland and Sweden so we have very cold winters, and I probably did not add enough glycol into the water...
Hence, my plan is to use the block, pistons, con rods, camshaft and possibly also the head from the RD-engine (I will use the crank
from the GE-engine). I got this engine (the RD-engine) for free, so I thought it was worth trying. I can also mention that I finally
managed to remove the starter ring thanks to your advice and by adding a lot of heat. But it took me 3 days and a lot of cursing.
Thanks again for your help!
Regards,
Roger Danielsson.
