Hi,
I have recently purchased a Mountney wheel and I am wondering how to connect up the horn. I have the brass and plastic rod thingy in place and the mountney
cap has an electrical connector inside it, past that I am a bit lost, has anybody fitted a Mountney wheel and can help me out? I think I may have to run a
wire from the cap to earth but if anybody knows exactly how to do this it would save a lot of time and be much apreciated.
Cheers, Steve.

I attached a wire from the centre of the horn button, there should be a terminal on the back, to the top of the sprung pencil thingy. I have a feeling
that the wire is just wedged in between the plastic tube and the top metal section. The wire is about 60mm long and I've never had any probs.

Careful as you solder to the top of the sprung pencil thing, or it will go sproing... BTDT, spent hours in the dust of the garage looking for the
bits....

Stephen - photo attached of the soldered wire from the sprung pencil connector attached to a brass eye, rivetted to the brass clip of the
horn push. Simple and cheap!

Thanks for that Colin, I had a dry run the other day to see if it worked and have soldered it today, works like a charm. To be honest,
I had missed the earthing strip on the horn push holder (it was black metal) that butts up against the inside of the boss, this left me
wondering how to earth the circuit to the wheel ! First attempt made the horn blow continuously, not popular with the
neighbours.....
Cheers, Steve.
