Well I went and did it - I am now a GT6 owner

Well not just a GT6 you understand but a convertible GT6 or as the builder calls it, a "Sixfire" and I kinda like that.
Built by fellow TSSC member Steve Flowers the car's a beauty. I've just got back from Steve's place having done the deal. Once a couple of paint issues have been sorted I'll be collecting the car on Saturday and using her as much as I can
Although bought to replace the wife's 13/60 "Jasmine" I can see that I will be driving this Sixfire a lot - I just can't get the grin off my face.
Jasmine has found a new home in Wales with new TSSC members Jean Goodson and her partner Ronnie. Ronnie isn't as scared of bidywork as I am so I'm pleased to say Jasmine will get her looks attended to over the coming months.
I just wanted to say a public thanks to Jean and to Steve for a most pleasant car buying and selling experience.

      2 litre on SUs - engine is mildly tweaked running a lightened flywheel on balanced bottom end with a +.20 rebore feeding a 3 rail and J type (with a weak synchro on second ) Cooling by Saab 900 radiator and twin electric fans. I'm still figuring it out as Steve has incorporated a few upgrades including some eletricery upgrades - relays everywhere and fuses that actually protect stuff (shock horror!)
      There are a lot oc Sixfire's around, I pulled up adverts for 4 on first scan of the classifieds.
      How's the Supersix? Was Le Mans eventful?

            I wonder how precious I'm going to be about it, I have never had a car so clean before. I do know that I will need a T shirt printed that says "I didn't build it" so people don't ask me tricky questions!

                Tempting for sure, depends upon what other opportunities to pilot interesting machinery come my way I'm still hankering after a long drive in a PI but although it's mental I'd love to do the 10CR in a Herald 948 Coupe Just coz it's not been done yet and it's unusual, 10 Countries in a Coupe, that would be a trip and half.

                      If you look at the bulkhead in the photo there is a device that looks like it has an oil filler cap on it. Struck me that it might be an Accusump, which is a type of pressurised remote sump that provides pre-startup oil pressure and protects against oil surge under hard cornering

                        It's not On the bulkhead there are two gold coloured things, one's a TR7 header tank for the coolant the other is a Cooper S servo fro the brakes. The fuses and relays are all on the bulkhead in the foreground.

                The car was originally going to be red but then he decided to keep it as the original blue. I don't find it as shocking now as I first did
                The Dizzy was a NOS unit but I think it's a 2000 saloon one. I have some spares here and will check number when I get the car

        in the best politician style, i'll take the 2nd question first, Le Mans was bloody great, only one small voltage stabiliser problem for me, solved by the export of a gloustershire stabilser (thank you Ian Lee). Must go again next time
        
        the supersix has finally diagnosed it's fuelling problem for me, the pump packed up on friday, the pump and the MU have been packed off to Malcolm Jones for rebuild/recalibration
