Recently purchased a GT6 conv with 2.5l engine. I have a problem with the coolant that is moving from the rad to the overflow bottle and consequently needs
regularly topping up.
I have fitted a new rad pressure cap and thermostat. I recently replaced the head gasket and it is not bubbling / gassy in the overflow.
Any thoughts please as to the cause ?

It could be that the pipe in the overflow bottle is too short. The bottle shoud be about 1/3 full, as the system heats up water is expelled into the
bottle, as it cools down again the fluid is sucked back up. If the pipe is too short it just sucks air and the next time, more fluid wil be expelled
etc.
Hope this helps

Thanks for that
Unfortunately it looks like a head gasket problem again as the bubbles have started again.
Does anyone know if this 2.5 l engine has a particular weak spot for HG.
