Firstly.. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!.
Secondly, seatbelts...
On my Mk2 GT6 i have the original (i think) brittax fixed )chrome openers) belts with eye bolts.
Though these look really cool and period, they are annoying as they don't move when reaching for the glove box etc..
If i chenge to the inertia type from the club shop, do i need to drill extra holes and re-enforce at the arches for the reel unit?
Or will they fit to the top of the arch like my existing?

I have fitted the club seat belts to my GT6 a few years ago, although it is a MK3 it makes no difference. The triangular "shoulder" mount which would
be on the B/C pillar on a modern eurobox goes on the top of the wheel arch using the existing fittings. The reel mounts directly below this on the
inner face of the wheel arch facing the centre of the car. You have to drill a hole but the kit of fittings contails the required strengthening plate.
