When the TR4 came out most sports cars had bolted on windscreen frames. Most cars of all types also had bolted on door-window frames, where
the frame is not part of the door pressing.
The reason door frames were separate was to do with tooling cost, so I would guess that a larger press that can make part of the bulkhead
at the correct angle to the rest of the panel, and do it consistently, would be less cost effective than making a separate bolt-on
part.
The GT6 frame uses the same pressing but does not have the rods that go down inside the bulkhead.
