GT6 Overdrive Fault

Hi,
Can anybody please shed some light on a problem I have been having with the overdrive on my 1973 Gt6 Mk3.
When you flick the switch on the gearstick the overdrive is very slow to engage and when it finally does, if you try to accelerate the engine revs increase and it feels almost as if the overdrive is slipping.
Has anybody in the club had a similar experience as I would appreciate any help on this matter.

If you trawl the archives, there will be plenty of info.

This is a common problem.

Might be lack of pressure that you can sometimes resolve by reseating the pressure releif ball.

Don't use the OD again until it is fixed as it is destroying itself.....
