  A lot of people have been in contact with me regarding the fitment of MX5 seats, which seem to be very popular due to their availability and the speakers in the headrests. A recent visit to a local scrapyard proved that almost any small sports car seat will fit, anything from Suzuki Cappucino to Porsche Boxter (yes they do fit but wider cars like Ferrari or Lamborghini haven't a chance - been there, tried that!!) however while the MX5 seats retail for around £100 the Porsche seats were leather and going for around £600. It's a question of how you want the car to look, but I don't think the GT6 really requires heated seats! Some are a straight fit to the floorpan, merely requiring new bolt holes in the floor, while others would benefit from a custom-made bracket for a better fit to tailor them to the centre tunnel. Next time you're in the local scrappy don't be afraid to experiment - even seats from some modern saloons are a good fit and a lot more supportive and adjustable than standard seats.

    Brackets at the rear are simple enough just drill out the two rivets holding the existing bracket on and replace with straight section, suitably drilled for existing holes. The fronts...hhmmm...these are the problem ones. Who hasn't fitted their's yet and can mark out what's needed, I'd do it but once they're in, they're in; very hard to get at! Having said that my gearbox has to come out so I might have a look at this and revisit this post!
