I have been running my MK2 on Revolution 13 x 5.5J wheels with 175/70 13 tyres for about 15 years, I have had to dress the lips on the front
arches back, but otherwise no other probs.(It is still possible to buy new Revolutions from the maker who are based in the Crawley, West Sussex
area. Demon Tweeks can supply their phone no.). I feel that 185/60 13 tyres are too wide for the car as a)the low depth of tyre will upset the
suspension geometry b)the tyre depth will worsen the ride quality ( GT6's are known for their superb ride!!) c)and as the footprint of the tyre
is larger, the grip will be greater but when they do break their grip, surely the speed will be greater and the drivers reactions will need to
be fast to catch skid.
My advice would be before spending any money on flash wheels, 1st rebuild the suspension system fully, including new springs and Koni
shockers, then get the geometry fully checked at both ends and then buy the wheels and tyres. The car will then go around corners.

Tim,
Thanks for your reply, i have now established that mini cooper sports pack minilites do not fit. I have now obtained a set of dolly sprint
wheels. I intend to fit the car with spax back and front but at the moment i am continueing with the bodytub rebuild. Speak to you again
cheers Andy

Andy,
Instead of fitting Spax shockers spend a bit more and go for Koni shockers (Speak to Dave Paerson at Canley Classics)
