Hi, Can someone tell me how to set the dizzy! I have had me engine running but took the dizzy out to paint the engine and replaced the timing chain. Now I want to set it up again but not too sure which is the correct direction you turn the distributor to just open the contacts? is it clockwise or anti-clockwise. in otherwords should the contacts get wider as the rotor rotates anti clockwise, or should they close?. Also the manual I have states that no 6 cylinder should have the same gap at the same position BTDC but whatever i do the gap is always much wider when at 6 position (360 deg rotation) than at 1 position, is there some way of evening this up. not sure if this was the case when I first got the engine running!. I will be at the stage when i can fire it up again in a few days time, just want to save time on messing about if someone can give me some advice. Many thanks.
