Bought mine from cranley classics, spoke 2 rimmer bros and that guywho does all the pannels, have for gotten his name but he has a lot of the old
toolings, any way, cranly is the only one who makes them, the rest buy from them,
There are two things to concider,
1, the cost, they will set you back about £135, yep!!!! there is a inner strenghting pannel then the shock mount panel fits to this,
this is the way triumph done it and it was 4 a reason.
the chassis monted ones leave the shock at a slight forward angel, also they are not as stright (upright) the first forward problem leads to shock
mount rubber deforming etc.
so if it was not for cost, this is the way to go.
Second piont, and I will have to conferm, as I am yet to mount mine, but me thinks the inner wheel arch mounts (as I have bought) will prevent the
fitting of wide wheels, how wide, I am not sure, but I stuck the mount in place with some tape and measured from mount to wheel arch, it was 185mm
dead, my car is a spit mk 2, the latter spits have a widers wheel arch me thinks, so any one with the latter cars has not so much of a worry.
I phoned cranley classics, and spoke to them about it, as it was them who told me to use these brackets and not the chassis mount ones.
they seem to think that there is many a GT6 rotoflex out there with 185mm pluss tyers and standard Triumph shock mount to wheel arch shocks.
maybe some one with a rotoflex and wide tyers can speed some light.
cranley classics say the bracket will sit within the inner part of the inner wheel, I am not to sure!!!!!!!
we will see.
PLEASE any one with a GT6 and standard rotoflex, please adivise.
