  Branches all over the place apparently. My local one supplied all the stuff I needed last summer when I was painting. They also supply all the local bodyshops and seem to be knowlegable.
  
  They made up the correct colour for my car from the paint code I gave them. Alternatively you can take them a bit of finished metal and let them match to that if you are only doing part of the car.

    No probs leaving a car in primer but don't leave it in bare metal for too long or etch primer at all.... metal starts to rust immediately and therefore a lot of work can be undone by letting the car sit so rust starts again. If you're using etch primer it will start to absorb water from the air immediately and will therefore accelerate the rusting, so always cover etch primer with ordinary primer asap. I have a habit of doing my cars one section at a time so the grey bit grows across the bodywork as work progresses...
    For good paint go to where the profesionals go, your local paint factors. Stay away from the Halfords or boy-racer shop standard of paint - it's expensive, not very good value for money and often not a good match, and some of the aerosols are such poor quality they clog after a few seconds usage so the tin is wasted.
