Can anyone help me please.I have recently bought a gt6 mkIII and i have noticed a bad sounding droning noise when i lift off the accelerator and when i am
going around left hand corners there is another rubbing noise.I read someone else had a similar problem on the passenger side rear and suggested it may be
the backplate rubbing on drum brake but this wouldn't be the reason for the bad droning noise on lift-off.Any help would be appeciated and please keep your
answers as cheap as possible!!!Diff seems to be losing oil, very wet and stainless steel exhaust in the area directly behind the diff is very black
too.....

Sorry to say it could be your diff if not the u/j's. Also just possible that it could be the propshaft that is out of balance, although that would be
clearly worse at certain speeds, and less likely to be different on left or right hand bends.
Difficult to really describe a noise, but could it just be the exhaust contacting the bodyshell or chassis somewhere? As the engine goes into braking
rather than driving, it moves on its mounts and can cause the exhaust pipe to contact something solid. Especially if the engine mounts are "soggy" or
the exhaust is a poor copy and not quite the precise Triumph shape.
