Has anyybody had experience of removing the clutch operating arm from the bellhousing when the box is still fitted to the car? It seems as though it may be
easy to remove but I am concerned that engaging it properly again may be tricky. I know from previous gearbox removal that the 2 pins in the arm are worn
and I wonder if it is possible to build up with weld & reform them? Opinions very welcome.
Thanks, Peter

I think it would be impossible to remove, as teh bottom is larger the the hole the top pokes through.
It would also be impossible to re-engage the release bearing as the flywheel and clutch would be in teh way.
In fact you wouldn't have come off in teh first place for that reason.
Cheers

Thanks for that reminder Colin. I had forgotten that the arm has to be inserted from inside the bellhousing as it is too wide for the opening.
