Hope someone on here can find them for me
Driving home from work last night I discovered two things:
1) Whilst technically it *is* possible to fit a 2.5hp compressor and a box of air tools into the back of a GT6, it does mean that you have to steer with
your chin
2) About a mile from home I went for 2nd gear and it wasn't there! The gear lever had gone all 'floppy'. Some crunching and grinding later I manage to get
4th and pulled over to the side of the road (cue smell of burning clutch!). Kerbside diagnostics revealed that the clutch seemed to be operating ok, 1st
had become reverse, and the only other gear I could find was now 3rd. As I was close to home I limped it back (mostly downhill) in 3rd and have yet to
inspect the HBOL for clues as to what the problem may be. I'm hoping the gearbox is ok and it's just a pin or bolt or something that's dropped out under
the gear lever...
Anyone able to suggest what it may be and whether it might be fixable without pulling the car to bits!? If the solution involves the use of a 2.5hp
compressor, so much the better
Cheers,
Pete.
