What's the story?
Are the Wusz Family your neighbours, friends, or did you just come across their cars?
>>>Hi John, Glad you found it interesting.
>>>The Wusz family live in Portland, Oregon, and I first met them in 1993 at the VTR Convention in Washington. I don't
know how they became involved with Triumphs and the Portland Triumph Owner's Association, but I do know that they were still
involved around Sept 1998 when I next went that way.
>>>Bernice had made cookies for everyone who participated in a PTOA event, that was just the kind of club spirited people
they were.
>>>They have since sold the GTV8, probably due to advancing years.
Most unfortunatley, their son: Nick passed away not too long after the Sept 1993 photo where he stands with his 1958 TR3.
I presume that the Stag behind, in Wusz family colors (no 'u'!) is theirs too?
>>>Nope, it was just parked next to them, probably sharing the 'Triumph Others' class, which seems to exist here if your
Triumph is not a TR or a Spitfire, like the other 95%
>>>The rule here, at least for me, is if it is a British car, then it is in colour, but if it is merkan iron, then it is
in color.
What made them change from All-American Ford people to Triumpheros?
(Or rather, as they still favour American engines, Triumphistas!)
>>>That, I do not yet know.
Will you write the story up for the Courier?
>>>I did include photos of the GT-V8 in a report following my Sept 1993 visit, but when I am next in Portland, I will make
an attempt to contact them for more information.

ps. sorry for the confusion by attaching this posting to the GT6 water pump thread, I was having problems connecting to the TSSC
site and starting a new thread on the GT6 section and I only had a short time at my disposal to do so.
