At the moment I've got a pressed steel rocker cover and it looks a bit cr*p, I did have an alloy one on but that also didn't look too good because (as it's
a GT6) the front had to be ground down in order to fit under the bonnet. Does anyone know of a way around this? Some way of finding a better looking rocker
cover that actually fits under the bonnet without major surgery? Could I possibly get hold of a pressed steel one and then maybe have it chromed? Or
painted?

Ian,
The Mk1 GT6 rocker cover was chromed as standard... I'm not sure if it's a straight fit though.

Amongst their most wonderful products for car renovators Frost's (www.frost.co.uk) offer Chrome Spray paint which will apparently turn metal to a
convincing chrome lookalike. May be worth, at 7 quid a can, spraying your existing rocker cover. Just a thought!

I think the seller is Terry at Triumph Spares just outside Chelmsford - he used to advertise in the Courier, but I don't know if he still does.
I've bought loads of second hand parts from him over the years. Not particularly cheap but dead straight.
