Folks, this is more of a want / swap than a going spare but didn't know where else to post it really.
I have a sound single rail J type overdrive Gearbox, with prop from a spitfire 1500. I had driven the car and the box is sound - rust killed the body.
I was hanging on to it to fit into my 1200 Herald, but after posting a query on here it transpires that I need to have a prop specially made - about
£160 alledgedly.
However, a three rail D type box will fit with a vitesse prop
Therefore, does anybody have a decent D type 3 rail Box that they wish to swap for the J type or sell me.
Also depending on getting the box I will need a 47inch non overdrive Vitesse prop please?
If I don't have any joy then I shall have to have a prop made up......

Why don't you just have your existing propshaft shortened to 45.5"?
Cost around £40 I think

phil i think you might have to change the type of clutch too, but others would know better i

Can't recommend anyone, sorry. I have yet to do mine.
Try google.co.uk / yell.co.uk look for propshaft services in your area.
If you let me know your email address I will send you a zip file of all the Overdrive conversion how to's I have amassed in preparation.
