I have a 1300 short engine with no preceivable wear. It has new piston rings and main and big end bearings fitted. I did this before I decided to fit a
1500 engine. It comes with a cylinder head, valves etc ( just needs reassembly) I think I have a new gasket set for it somewhere. It is free to anyone who
can make use of it. I need the space but dont want to junk it. I am in the Huntingdon area and could even deliver if not too far away. I also have a
gearbox and diff and the same applies.

Is it a big or small cranked version, what is the engine number? Large front pulley like a 1500 or small one?

Hi David
The prefix is RD which makes it a Triumph 1300 block. When I find the bottom pulley I will measure it but you probably have enough info now. The
pulley is probably in one of many boxes of parts but I will have to look later. The engine was taken from my 13/60 Herald

Hi Ivan
Is the engine still up for collection or has it gone to a good home?

Hi Trevor.
It is still here and you are welcome to it if you wish.
It needs reassembling but at least you will be able to see its condition before fitting it.
Everything is with it and more besides. I just need the space.

A Big thanks to Ivan for the 1300 engine. I have now re-assembled and installed it into the car with twin carbs off my old spit and
after a little bit of (getting agricultural) with the exhaust, it has fired into life and sounds quite sweet. I still have a bit
fiddling to do in other areas but may get the car finished for MOT in a couple of weeks.
PS
hows your project coming on?

Thanks to Ivan

Great news Trevor! Mine is coming on well. (well, slowly) The boss has decided she wants more wardrobe space so it is a matter of
priorities at the moment. When all is done I will show you mine if you will show me yours.
